The casing is made of 100% cotton, the polyester fiber filling firmly packed. The ring retains its shape and supports the neck instead of collapsing. The ends are sealed by hand with a cord, as befits a proper sausage.

Care tip: Before washing, tie the two ends together with the longer loop of cord. This will prevent them from coming apart in the washing machine. It's best to wash the tied sausage in a laundry bag and hang it up to dry.
