Description
Garlic belongs in every good kitchen. This one belongs by the sink. The Korean dish sponge is crocheted and shaped like a small garlic bulb, complete with a green tip and a shaggy root on the underside.
The surface, made of 100% acrylic, is very fluffy yet slightly scratchy. Perfect for thoroughly cleaning plates, pots, and glasses. With a little dish soap, it produces plenty of lather. After washing, simply hang it up by the loop at the top to dry properly.
If you like, you can take the tuber into the shower. Use it as an exfoliating sponge to scrub your body and remove dead skin cells. Start gently if you have sensitive skin.
If it gets musty, it can simply be washed in the washing machine at 60°C.
A real find: Crocheted dish sponges made from acrylic yarn have a long tradition in Korea. This one is made in China using Korean techniques. We didn't make it ourselves, but chose it because it fits so well with our gourmet food selection.
