Silvia Wald
Silvia Wald is a textile designer, clothing technician, and the artist behind Aufschnitt Berlin. Her visual world originates not in the studio, but in rural Brandenburg, in a childhood spent amidst gardens, farm butchering, and fishing ponds, where meat was a natural part of everyday life.
Early on, she sensed something very personal: that this was precisely what she didn't want. She has been a vegetarian since the 1990s.
Cold cuts are her way of translating this origin, this subtle break and her love of textiles into handmade objects, with craftsmanship, humor and a very unique view of things.
Popcorn pillow, the cuddly pillow that never runs out
Our popcorn cushion brings the joy of a movie night right to your sofa. Popcorn is simply fun, even when you're making it: when the kernels start popping in the pan, it becomes a little event every time. That's exactly the feeling captured in our cuddly cushion, handcrafted from off-white plush fabric with dark yellow appliqués and light yellow embroidery.
Our team
Aufschnitt is a friendly environment where young, creative, and international team members work together. Here, diverse perspectives and talents come together to develop new ideas.
